My Final EVER HopeVsHeadaches Post – As One Chapter Ends, Another begins…

I knew this day would come but I wasn’t quite sure when it would be, but it’s time…

This will be my last ever HopeVsHeadaches blog post. I know, it’s an emotional moment. 127 blog posts later and it’s time to end this chapter of my life and start a new one.

Over three years ago when I began this blog I started writing it just as an outlet to express my frustration with how I was feeling. I was chronically sick, depressed and had no hope. My first blog post was entitled “It can only get better”. Says it all.

After trying conventional medicine but to no avail I set out on my journey to heal myself, and along the way, I started sharing this with my audience. Little did I know that it would help them on their healing journeys, and it was through this experience that I developed a passion to help others who were suffering from chronic migraines and headaches.

Suddenly out of my pain became purpose. A purpose so strong inside of me that I knew I was going to dedicate the rest of my life to helping others break free from debilitating migraines and headaches.

At that point in my journey I had no idea quite how that would play out and how this would happen, but little did I know that the universe had it all planned out for me perfectly.

As my healing journey continued, I had discovered this new-found love for all things health and wellness. I read every single book I could, researched everything health-related like a madwoman on the internet, and spent hours educating myself through podcasts until I finally decided to turn my passion into a reality by training to become a Health Coach at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

Best decision I ever made may I add.

As I went through the program I had planned to start my own coaching business called Hope Health Coaching, which would specifically be designed for migraine and headache sufferers to help them break free from their pain.

Yet, during the middle of the course, I was contacted through Instagram by Anthony Cocco, also an IIN Health Coach and former 13 years chronic daily migraine sufferer now 8 years migraine free.

Anthony shared with me that he had started a company called Head Health and was currently working on creating the first-ever coaching program for migraines and headaches. His vision blew me away and pretty much straight after our first call we began working on what is now known as The MENT™ Protocol (Migraine Elimination through Neuroindivudal Therapies). I worked for Head Health for 3 years but after developing and learning so much I decided to move on from my role there and plan to launch my own migraine coaching business based in Dubai in 2020.

So I wanted to write this post to end this incredible rollercoaster ride of a journey it’s been over the last three years. I want to thank every single person who has ever supported me, shared my content, recommended me to a friend or liked my posts. It is from your continued support that it allowed me to find and live out my purpose and as a result find my true destiny – helping others to overcome their migraines and headaches. Without you, there is no way that I would be here today so thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Before I sign off I want to give a special shout out to My Mum for correcting my grammar for every single blog post (all 127 of them) and for always being my biggest cheerleader, my incredible husband for supporting me through every single step of my journey never waiving no matter how rough things got, and Anthony Cocco for being the most amazing mentor, friend, business partner and coach. I would not be the person I am today without you coming into my life and for that, I am truly, truly grateful.

Little did I know that when I lost my dream job five years ago and my world came crashing down it was for a reason. A reason far bigger than myself and the universe had a far greater plan for me all along.

If there is anything that I want you to take away from reading my blog and my story it’s the following;

I didn’t think I would feel this emotional right now writing this. Ok, Kristie Jane, you can do this. If you still want to follow the work I am doing for migraine and headache sufferers the please follow me on Instragram and Facebook @HopeVsHeadaches.

I wish I could go back and tell the old Kristie Jane who was writing that first very first blog post three years ago “It Can Only Get Better”, that not only would it get better, that life would become more magical than you ever could have imagined…

  1. Congratulations! That’s such a lovely post . All the very best in your incredible new path and THANK YOU for helping me in my migraine journey.
I stumbled upon you several years ago in my own chronic migraine journey. I has read Dr Joe Dispenza and following your post about you going on one of his weekend workshops I booked myself in. Life changing for me ! This catupulted my own journey with how I understood how my thoughts affect me and migraines. I also addressed my diet and became vegan . My journey continued as my migraines continued, but along with my learning in what it is to be healthy and balanced I became happier and happier even though I still suffered.
I continued to trust that I’d find my solution if i carried on doing the work. I’ve now found out my body doesn’t do well with carbs . This has been an amazing piece of the jigsaw to me. I’m off all my medications now for the last 3 months after 17 years! I get the odd migraine which is usually triggered when I’ve let negative thoughts get the better of me. I’m still learning and look forward to learning and improving all my life . I feel you’ve accompanied me on my journey and am soo pleased a good enriched life has come out of debilitating migraines for you . Love Sally xx

    1. Hi Sally, Oh my god I nearly cried when I read your post. Wow, just wow. I had no idea that I had this impact on you and that you have since been on this journey because of my blog. This makes me so happy. Isn’t Dr Joe incredible? I am so glad that his work has helped you to change your mindset and thus felt the results you have had. Well done you for also making additional changes that now serve your health and you continue to do the work to understand your unique body so you can find relief. Also, NO MEDICATIONS! Woop Woop! Look at you. This is incredible. Thank you for sharing this with me because it means more than words can say. THIS is why I started the blog, in hope that I could help people. Thank you for supporting me through this journey and I wish you all the health and happiness in the world. Love Kristie 🙂

  2. Congratulations! I want to personally thank you for all your words of wisdom and inspiration! I found your site out of desperation…after a 3 day migraine that left me locked in my bedroom on my vacation in a sumatriptan induced coma. I immediately purchased the Dr. Dispenza’s book you recommended and followed your journaling recs. I am happy to say that this book and way of thinking has changed my life! I am currently (with the exception of a migraine or 2 at the onset of my period) migraine free for 5 months! Thank you so much for being so open and vulnerable about your journey and sharing this with all of us! Much thanks!!!
